Tom's tasting notes

When I found out how bad seed oils are for you, when it came to making mayo, I started playing with alternatives. We tested both avocado oil and olive oil to see what worked best with our mayo. Surprise, surprise—we liked them both, but for completely different reasons. The olive oil added that something special and really lifted the standard mayo to taste like a proper chefs mayo —hence the name 'Slightly Posh', its like having your very own private chef!

Made simply with whole eggs, a blend of olive oils (for flavour), Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and season to taste—et voilà! What's not to love?!

Add some lemon zest to pick up a plain roast chicken, or some capers, cornichons, and chopped parsley for the best tartare sauce you've ever tasted. It really is a versatile beast, and we love it!

  • Smooth and rich—like a proper chefs mayo

  • Cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, whole free-range eggs, apple cider vinegar and lemon juice

  • Perfect for dipping your summer crudites in, or making a banging lemon, caper, and herb mayo for your grilled chicken, or even pimping up your egg mayonaise

    My ‘go to’ Mayo.

I saw this in on socials and immediately noticed no seed oils. That sold me. There is no other mayo as far as I know which is free of them. So well done Fu:Di. You have produced a mayo that is as good as home made. I will only use this from here on in.

    Slightly posh mayo

It’s everything you want from a good mayo. Clean and creamy taste. Great ingredients. Had it yesterday over boiled egg and gnocchi salad, just perfect. Smooth and rich flavour. Another great product.

    Good alternative

I'm enjoying the mayonnaise I bought. It's slightly more vinegary than expected, but I'm getting used to that. On the whole, a great alternative to the seed oil mainstream versions.

    Good work.

Have you tried making mayonnaise with slowly melted butter instead of oil? That works really well too!
