When I found out how bad seed oils are for you, when it came to making mayo, I started playing with alternatives. We tested both avocado oil and olive oil to see what worked best with our mayo. Surprise, surpriseโ€”we liked them both, but for completely different reasons. The olive oil added that something special and really lifted the standard mayo to taste like a proper chefs mayo โ€”hence the name 'Slightly Posh', its like having your very own private chef!

Made simply with whole eggs, a blend of olive oils (for flavour), Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and season to tasteโ€”et voilร ! What's not to love?!

Add some lemon zest to pick up a plain roast chicken, or some capers, cornichons, and chopped parsley for the best tartare sauce you've ever tasted. It really is a versatile beast, and we love it!

    Really useful

    Lovely mayonnaise, with lots of great uses. Homemade coleslaw or celeriac remoulade. Great on top of salmon/trout fillets. Mix with tuna/tinned salmon with tomatoes, capers, olives for a quick lunch.
