Bright, tangy, and packed with fresh herbs, this fu:di tartare sauce is the ultimate sauce for your crispy fish, pan-fried seafood, and grilled vegetables. Made with fu:di Mayo, capers, and zesty lemon - it’s rich, creamy, and bursting with flavour. Try it as a spread for a next-level sandwich or in a creamy dressing for a fresh, herby salad.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 tbsp gherkins, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp capers, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp fu:di Slightly Posh Mayo or Classic Mayo
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Sea salt & cracked black pepper, to taste

Let's begin!

Prep and combine

Step 1

Finely chop the gherkins, capers, and shallot, then finely chop the dill and parsley. Add all the chopped ingredients to a bowl along with the mayonnaise, the zest of one lemon, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

Step 2

Taste and adjust the seasoning with extra lemon juice, sea salt, or cracked black pepper if needed.

Serve!

Step 3

For the best flavour, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavours develop. Serve with your favourite foodie creations and enjoy!


Chef's Tip

For an extra depth of flavour, add a splash of pickle brine for even more tang. Want a spicy twist? Stir in a pinch of cayenne or a few drops of fu:di Hot Sauce for a kick! Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. 🎣
